Video and Pictures
On Monday, December 16th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. we were invited to the Brandywine Heights School Districts Intermediate School for a Flag Raising of the POW/MIA Flag.
The link below that says "Click here to watch" it should take you to the Facebook page that will show you the 30 minute video of the event.
Our Chapter 131 Member Cliff Kerchner asked them to fly the POW/MIA Flag, they said yes. From there he helped plan and put together the event along with State Representative Dave Maloney.
This is from Representative Maloney's Weekly Roundup.

We had a great event on Monday that was the fruition of a collaboration between the Brandywine School District and the Berks County Chapter 131 Vietnam Veterans.
The veterans group approached the school and asked if they would be willing to fly the POW-MIA flag along with the American flag and the school district agreed. I provided the flags that will now fly at each of the district’s schools.
While I sponsored the law requiring PA state buildings and property that fly the US flag to also display the POW-MIA flag, schools are not required to do this, but Brandywine’s officials wanted to do it.
This uplifting community ceremony was held at the Brandywine Heights Middle School.
